After Reading Managing Fisheries

In a small group of 2-3 students (from your reading group) read and discuss the following statement:

By the early 1980s, with dwindling inshore stocks and too many boats, the New Zealand fishing industry and the government realised that a new fisheries management was needed. The warning that ‘too many boats are chasing too few fish’ was being rephrased by one fisherman as, ‘too many boats chasing no fish.’

1. Are there too many boats? Yes Because they want to go to the sea and fish for more
2. Why are there 'no fish'?Because the fisherman catches a lot of fish.
3. What is or should be done about it? The should catch it but instead of eating it they should release it.

In your small group discuss and individually record your opinions on:  LEARN

1. What is a Quota?A limited or fixed number or amount of people or things, in particular
2. Why the Quota Management System was needed?Released the new fisheries management was needed.
3. How it was implemented.They should only catch a few of fish and only catch 7 fish.
4. Who polices it?Its a Managing Fisheries Police.  
5. How are commercial quota is different from recreational quotas recreational quotas can’t sell their fish but commercial quotas can sell their fish.

Math

Today I have learnt how to multiply by reversing the numbers to get the answer. Like For an example 5x4= and if you don't know your five times table you reverse to 4x5=20 and you will get the answer.

Loopy People

Today we Learnt how to measure body parts and how to half the measurement. We also learnt how to apply the halved measurement to measure, cut and create our loopy people.

Reflection:
It was easy to cut out the measurement.
It was Hard to half the measurement.

Honour of the soilders - A Poem

I give thanks for those who died

for our lives.

War is not nice.

People shooting each other

would have been terrified

they stood up for themselves

and yet did not survive.  

This poem is for world war one and two and with Mrs Parker and Mrs Raj's help I wrote this wonderful poem. Honour of the soilders

Today I and my friends was presenting a presentation to other classes and we were happy. The classes that we present to was Room7,8 and 9. They liked our movie and our teacher Mrs Raj And Mrs Parker said if they can put it on face TV and we said YESS

Our Netball Lesson

Today a Teacher who is teaching netball came to teach us how to play netball. First we played a game named tail the game was epic. Coach told us how to play the game. The game look Cheerless, but when played the game, the game was mirthful We had fun. then came a quick game. We had to shoot the ball in the hop and if you get it in you get a point.  Then we had a game, the game was easy to play.We had to run to the middle of the court and grab the ball and pass  it to each other and whoever gets the ball back into the hula hop you win. Our team names was Flappy and Butter Fingers. I was in the Flappy team, our team loss but we still had a good game.
