Tahuna Toreo

Tahuna Torea  is wetland reserve where one can find species of different birds and plants.
There are 2 lookouts in Glendowie, but when we were all  climbing  up to the 2 lookouts, it was tiring and  when we all got up there the sweat dribbled down my body. But it was exciting looking down at the beautiful view.

When we read the sign it warned us to not go near that yellow  ribbon because it is a trap

I really enjoyed reading your interesting description of Tahuna Torea. It certainly is a beautiful reserve. I loved the mangroves. They are so clever because they take in air above the water line and then carry it down to their roots under the water. Keep up your excellent use of exciting vocabulary.
Best wishes from Mrs Holderness
